The Posture Dynamics workstation assessment involves a thorough evaluation of the following:
• The Individual - Review and consideration of existing or previous musculoskeletal complaints or conditions. Current lifestyle and goals for exercise or hobbies outside of work. Main work activities evaluation including patterns, breaks and variety of tasks.
• Equipment - Full review of current set- up of chair and posture position, desk height, screen, keyboard and mouse. Analysis for the above arrangement and how it is used is evaluated. Recommended changes are discussed in detail with the individual, and any adjustments that can be made at the time of the assessment are done immediately. Other changes requiring new or revised equipment are recommended in a report. This report is sent to the individual and to the relevant office manager following the assessment.
Posture Dynamics's work station assessors have a sound understanding of the risk factors involved in Display Screen Equipment (DSE) use and good knowledge of the range of equipment available. In addition the assessors are Osteopaths with ergonomics experience. The combination of skills is invaluable to effectively identify and reduce risk of musculoskeletal conditions.
